WattDepot Network Visuzalization

For this project, the network surroundingWwattdepot was visualized with data. Each WattDepot sensor shows the state of each WattDepot sensor such as running, stopped, or waiting depending on the animation. When a sensor sends information to the WattDepot server, a network animation reflects the communication. Color and size indicate the level of energy and power consumption based on a geographical context such that this application could be deploy in a residential area as well as a university while scaling correctly.

This project runs on top a Jetty 7 server with Apache Wicket in conjunction with Google GSON on the back end and Yahoo YUI 3 and Google Maps running on the front end.

If this project was further extended with data from an actual WattDepot server, the tooltips would display when hovering over each WattDepot sensor.
